A single Record is created for each Asset Item recorded on the Network. Assets are recorded against a Network Section, using the values Chainage Start and Chainage Finish (in metres) to determine the location of the Asset.
Assets are classified to a number of different classifications:
Physical Asset Items classified under original RMMS Code classifications.
Additional Asset Items used to record key Asset Information and used in Cyclic Survey Activities. Such examples include Safety Fence Tensioning Points - added so that maintenance of individual items can be recorded.
Pseudo Asset Items added to support Asset Status Class Surveys. Such examples include Carriageway Lanes which are added to each Network Section to support Condition Status Records on the Network Carriageway.
The simplest means of reviewing the Asset Inventory Records is to use the menu item:
RMMS Surveys, Defects and Assets\
RMMS Network Inventory Items\
Inventory Items Details
This option opens the RMMS Chart Section Assets panel.
